weve got a thru deftones here! notice my annoyingly small death grips collection lol... i have a lot more of their vinyl, used to have year of the snitch on clear vinyl and cd but i sold them bc i dont like that album very much. got all of black midi's stuff, love them so much!!! also a lot of aphex twin, i hope to get all of richard's main albums by the end of the year, along with the collapse ep and the tuss on cd too. beck! beck! go listen to beck! same with björk, i got a good number of her albums already too :3 also my boxsets are here– autechre, coldplay, and duster. the sleeve for the duster boxset is really nice, its got thick cardboard and this texture that makes u feel like ur touching the moon pictured on the box hehe :3 we'll cover deftones in the next slide bc it continues into it...
okay deftones! im not the biggest fan of them, i just really like a lot of their songs. i guess that makes me a fan but idk... i consider myself a huge fan of like elliott smith and fiona apple, i dont feel like i deserve to say im a huge fan of deftones lol... maybe i should get a shirt from that marc jacobs x deftones collab, maybe thatll make me a huge fan idk hehehe. to the right of ohms is ecco2k's e, one of my favs its really good. i was super super broke when the pxe cd was released so im waiting for year0001 to repress it... hopefully the second press comes with goodies and a poster too lol. next is all of elliott smith's stuff. im literally listening to new moon as i write this so like what more is there to say, hes the bestest everest!!! me and my coworkers also really love him, i think i mentioned this in a previous post but my coworker used to own a bunch of original pressings of elliott's albums on vinyl but sold them a number of years ago when he sold all his records. also this guy is like a super gay 29 year old btw not some old nerd lol just wanted to give that context hehe. my record store has a copy of the 25th anniversary vinyl of self-titled for like $70 ish and i lowkey wanna get it... i need to get more faye webster cds; i have all her albums on vinyl so it would only make sense. i should also get some black country, new road now that i think of it... fiona apple, of course. i should get some more copies of when the pawn, dont u think? lol. no but seriously, i need to get one of the new cds without the transparent red cover and one of the japanese versions with the live version of fast as you can and across the universe on it as bonus tracks. flcl!!! my fav anime ever!!! i would get the other two cds but theyre more expensive and dont have as good songs on it as vol 3. ive also got this album on colored vinyl back at home. found that copy of rumors at a thrift for a dollar, such a good deal. jockstrap's album is sandwiched between janet and joni, but its in a plastic sleeve so u cant see it. also found those kate bush records for super cheap at the thrift and used at sg. got that mary lou lord album bc i heard elliott had some work on it, only listened to a tiny bit of it. a bit of mitski, and then after that is this evangelion album with the opening and ending songs. i had to snatch up the omori soundtrack when it released, ive been waiting for that fucking game to come out forever. i havent finished the game yet but the music is top fucking tier. quick nod to the cassettes: everyone knows about 2814 so yeah listen to them if u havent, love kkb i need to get time 'n' place on cd, and you already know i have that fucking dg on me. i wanted to get the interview / fashion week cassette but the only listing i ever saw of it was one on ebay in 2018 for $90 and for some reason i didnt get it then. and i dont even know why i didnt either, i was like peak death grips fan then but whatever. i didnt buy a lot of death grips stuff when i should have lol. next slide!!!
persona 4 is a pretty good game, this is just a cd with remixes of some of the popular tracks. for a remix album though, its actually a super good listen; highly recommend to any persona fan lol. i need to get the actual version of songs from the city instead of just the demos, but i havent seen it at my record store for sale yet. love pj harvey though, listen to her if u havent lol. pop team epic's fun, wouldnt recommend buying the cd. i got it at a con for pretty cheap, but im pretty sure its kinda expensive online now. too fucking bloated, only get it if ur dead set on it i guess. i need more radiohead cds, thats all im gonna say lol. i havent listened to the smile yet, sorry >,< thats my uncle's copy of rage against the machine, unfortunately hes a total right wing hack whos also a doctor so it doesnt mean much lol >.< the album in the glare is rilo kiley's more adventurous, highly recommend giving it a listen!!! i love the smashing pumpkins holy shit, buy urself an old copy of mellon collie if u havent bc the art book that comes with it is a fun addition that im not sure comes with the new cd. found that sundays record at the thrift store too for a dollar lol. the sugarcubes were björk's original like well-known band, theyre worth a listen. sweet trip!!! talking heads!!! they speak for themselves, listen to them if u havent. (thats in all caps btw) (i should get a font with upper case) (or maybe just have a div id for specifically using all caps lol) found this yukari fresh album at a record store, its pretty fun :3
holy shit i wrote a lot... and i still have a shoe box of extra cds in the closet... ill talk about those another time lol. anyways, my asuka figure usually hides the björk cds so i had to move her out of the way. for anyone wondering, here's asuka!
